Mini Retreat weekend met Kate and Dyan

Afgelopen weekend was het eindelijk zo ver het eerste Craftorij Mini Retreat Weekend.
Wat hebben we met alle dames en natuurlijk met Kate Crane en Dyan Reaveley een hoop lol en creatief plezier  beleefd.
We willen iedereen bedanken voor een zeer geslaagd weekend en wie weet tot volgend jaar!
Alle dames die zijn geweest krijgen nog bericht waar ze straks alle foto's kunnen downloaden, maar hier alvast een kleine impressie.

Mini-retreat juni 2013: schrijf je nu in!

Heb je zin een verwen weekend vol inspiratie? Kom dan in juni mee doen het eerste Retreat weekend van De Craftorij. Het weekend is op 22 en 23 juni.
Tijdens deze dagen ontvangen we 2 speciale gasten: Dyan Reaveley en Kate Crane!
Zij geven beiden een dagworkshop.
Je kan je inschrijven voor het volledige Retreat weekend, maar het is ook mogelijk om de dagen lost te boeken.

Couture journaling

This workshop is everything you need to know about the Dylusions range of Couture clear stamps. Bring a touch of glamour to your pages with the fashion images. Learn how to make each stamp look totally different by adding patterns to the material. We will be stamping, masking, painting, doodling, adding other imagery and elements to create fabulous pages.

Introducing tags and texture

Don’t settle for flat journal pages!! Learn how to add texture and interest with tags, flaps and pockets.

With a quick fold here, and a little tear there, here a tag there a tag, every page so tactile.

Bring your pages to life with the touchy feely treatment.

Met Kate Crane gaan we spelen met o.a. verf en het zelf stempels maken.

Juicy mixed-media journal backgrounds. 

Let’s create some luscious, juicy backgrounds in our art journals! Kate specializes in bright and vibrant multi-layered backgrounds in her journal pages using a whole host of different mediums including acrylic paints, collage, oil pastels and rubber stamps. Get the best from your acrylic paints, and venture into the art of painting without a paintbrush! Experiment with carving Speedball Easycarve rubber and create some background stamps to add a fabulous personal touch to your pages.

Kate will share her secrets for creating busy, yet uncluttered backgrounds, bursting with life and colour!

 

Draw in your journals!

Draw? Who me? Yes, you! Every one of us can draw, but somehow along the way we lose our confidence and our inner critic tells us ‘we’re no good’. Well let’s embrace our inner artist, and have a go at drawing and doodling in our art journals. It isn’t so hard, and as you finish a page you can sit back and think ‘I did that’!

Let Kate guide you through some simple techniques, using basic shapes to draw your own characters and features for a journal page, before adding them to your ‘Juicy mixed-media journal backgrounds’.
